Sherry was born and attended school in Brackettville, Texas, and graduated from Killeen High School. She married Frank Medina in August of 1965 in Killeen, Texas. After her marriage to Frank, she began working for Margaret Medina, her mother-in-law, at her restaurant. She was also employed at Lampasas and Copperas Cove ISD as a teacher's aide. Providing a learning environment for her students to reach their full potential was one of her greatest accomplishments and joys. After Margaret's retirement, Frank and Sherry opened Medina’s on the square in 1980 to continue the legacy. Together, they served delicious Tex-Mex food to the community. She adored sitting with her customers, hearing their stories and telling some of her own. She enjoyed lending a hand to those in need. She was an incredibly selfless person. Sherry was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
