With profound love and respect, we remember and celebrate the remarkable life of Patricia Ann Loth, known fondly to many as Pat, who departed this world on July 3, 2026, in Gatesville, Texas. She was born on February 18, 1931, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and from that very first day, Patricia’s life was destined to be full of warmth, faith, and devotion to her family and friends. Patricia passed away peacefully in her sleep, her journey concluding in the gentle way she so often moved through the world.
Patricia's brilliance first shone as a young woman at Shiner High School, where she graduated as Valedictorian, an early testament to her intelligence, determination, and sharp wit, the traits that defined her all her years. These gifts would guide her through life as she gracefully took on the cherished role of wife and homemaker, pouring her boundless energy and talents into her home, her faith, and her family.
A woman deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, Patricia was a passionate and devoted member of her Church community. She served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister, graced the choir as both member and cantor, guided others as a Catechism teacher, and lent her heart and hands to organizations such as the Ladies Society and The Army of Mary. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering; it was the light that guided her daily actions and the foundation upon which she built a lifetime of service and love.
Patricia was not only revered for her spiritual devotion, but also cherished for the vibrant spirit with which she embraced life. Her days were filled with the beauty of gardening, artistic pursuits like painting, ceramics, crafting, drawing, and sewing, and a joy for being active outdoors. She delighted in gathering with her lady friends from church for lunch, relishing these small but meaningful moments of companionship.
She had a gift for making every event, celebration, and holiday extraordinary year after year, Patricia went out of her way to ensure that family traditions were honored and that each occasion sparkled a little more because of her touch. To those who knew her, Patricia was the embodiment of devotion and loyalty. She was a devoted mother/grandmother, a loyal friend, and a source of strength, intelligence, and humor. Music and art ran through her veins, and her warmth and wit created a comforting presence in the lives of everyone she met.
Patricia’s love carries on through her surviving family: her sister Jean Ching; her children Teresa Holt, Edward Loth and wife Bonnie, Nancy Pullen and husband Jamie, John Loth and wife Julieanne, Patrick Loth, Mary Papson and husband Kevin; Daughter in Law, Jennifer Loth; 24 Grandchildren, 53 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is reunited in eternal peace with those who passed before her: her beloved husband Danny Loth; her father Frank Gardner and mother Emma Gardner; her sisters Marie Edmonds, Betty Towery, and Barbara Bernard; her sons Thomas Loth and Michael Loth; her son-in-law Andy Holt; her grandson Jason Norton.
A touching farewell will be held to honor Patricia’s extraordinary life. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember a woman whose legacy is felt in every garden she tended, every song of faith she sang beautifully, and every life she gently touched.
