Patsy was born in San Angelo, TX, to Otho Lee Jones and Rebecca Gertrude (VanNort) Jones on January 26, 1941.
Patsy lived a life of faith, service, and devotion to her family. She was the proud mother of three daughters, Terri, Lori, and Becki. She was blessed with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Each of them brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Faith was the cornerstone of her life. Patsy served actively within her congregation, teaching Sunday school classes for many years. Her favorite class was Cradle Roll, where she found joy in introducing the youngest hearts to God's amazing love. Her hope, our hope, is in Christ alone. It is because of this hope that we celebrate for Patsy as we mourn our great loss.
Her commitment to guiding and nurturing young people extended even further. Patsy was a long-time Girl Scout Leader, working at the local troop level and in the Bluebonnet Council office. She served many years as Camp Director at Camp Kachina Girl Scout Summer Camp. All roles in which she touched countless lives and built cherished friendships and memories.
For twenty-eight years, Patsy worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the VA Hospital System, where she devoted her skills and compassion to caring for veterans. She retired on April 29, 2018, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication to those she served.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, O.L. and Gertrude, her older brother, O.L. Jones, Jr., and his wife Lois Jones, her younger brother, David Bryan Jones, son-in-law, Robert Pettigrew, great-granddaughter, Kenzie Rian McMullen, and Conway twin great-grandsons.
