Patsy Jean Brewer Mixon passed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father and her beloved husband on May 4, 2026. A longtime resident of Lampasas County, Patsy was born on September 9, 1947, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Jesse Lee and Hattie Irma (Clarke) Brewer.
On September 1, 1967, she married the love of her life, Marion Lee Mixon, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together they shared 53 devoted years of marriage. As a proud military wife, Patsy supported her husband through assignments across the United States while faithfully serving as a devoted mother and homemaker, while also building and maintaining a successful career of her own. She balanced the demands of professional life with the many responsibilities required of a military spouse, always with grace, strength, and determination. Through her unwavering support and dedication, she played a vital role in helping her husband advance throughout his military career.
Patsy was never a stranger to anyone. She had a rare gift for seeing the good in every person she met and an unwavering desire to help others. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit touched countless lives, and her memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved. She truly made a difference.
Having lost both of her parents at the young age of 23, Patsy poured her heart into her own family, which meant everything to her. She is survived by her daughters, Melody Rowe and Marian “Mary” Johnson; her son, Jesse Mixon; her grandchildren, Genevieve “Genny” De Dios, Antonio “Tony” Lugo, Morgan Mixon, Mandolynne “Mandy” Mixon, and Brady Rowe; and her great-grandchildren, Eric Surratt and Alexxander Lugo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Hattie Brewer; her brothers, Virgil Brewer and Jesse Brewer; her sisters, Irlyma Brewer, Mary Brewer, and Keran Brewer; and her granddaughter, Amy Johnson.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Clear Creek Baptist Church 3350 FM 2657, Kempner, TX 76539. Patsy will join Marion at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen in a private family ceremony at a later date.
