Peggy Ann Shroyer, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2022, at her home in Lampasas, Texas.

Peggy was born on August 13, 1934, in Lindale, Texas, to Granville and Evelyn Carroll, and grew up in Corsicana, Texas.  She graduated from Corsicana High School and Navarro Junior College, where she met her husband Roy Shroyer, and attended Baylor University and North Texas State College.  Her professional career included working for Texas State Teachers Association, teaching kindergarten, working with her husband at Texas Video Sales, Inc. for 34 years, and teaching piano.

Peggy married Roy Shroyer on September 2, 1954, and they were happily married for 61 years.  She was an active online member of Livingway Family Church, had a long-time love for music, and enjoyed playing piano at various churches, as well as teaching piano to hundreds over her lifetime.  Peggy shared her cooking and baking skills with everyone, sending care packages of her amazing cookies, pecan pie, chocolate chip cake, and rum cake, as well as sharing family favorites like goulash, chicken tetrazzini, oven-fried steak, and the best sweet potatoes ever made.  She was also a tech-savvy communicator, navigating through Facebook and Instagram, watching people's posts and stories, and often sending words of encouragement.  She was a true optimist and a prayer warrior for everyone.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy, and great-grandson, Christopher Milo Moore.

Peggy is survived by her brothers, Reggie Carroll and wife Phyllis, Eddie Carroll; children, Steven Shroyer and wife Julie, Ronny Shroyer and wife, Delanie, Brad Shroyer, Anne Moore, and husband Bill; grandchildren, Matthew Shroyer, Kathryn Shroyer, Monica Shroyer, Derrick Shroyer, Leslie Brady, Ryan Moore, Marcus Moore, Christopher Moore, Gretchen Vankleef, Vaness Hellinger, Mose Vankleef; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
