Rebecca was born on April 7, 1935, in Lampasas, Texas, to Justo and Josefina Gill. She married Felix Felan on January 1, 1950, after a whirlwind romance. They raised their three children and lived happily for 65 years in Lampasas.
Rebecca worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Don Bulloch for over 22 years. She loved working with people and made lifelong friendships with her patients. Dr. Bulloch appreciated Rebecca's fluency in Spanish with his practice and her ability to keep his patients at ease with her calm demeanor and soothing ability to explain the procedures.
Upon retiring from the dental office in 1980, Rebecca, along with her sister Janie Delgado and their spouses began a restaurant and food catering business in Lampasas. The restaurant, Rancho Fajitas, enjoyed a loyal following in the community and surrounding area for ten years.
Rebecca was a faithful Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed exercise, cooking, baking, crafting, gardening and philanthropy. She also adored her three grandchildren and loved spoiling them with her cooking and attention.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Felix; and her siblings, Jesus Gill, Paul Gill, Gilberto Gill, Alfonso Gill, Justito Gill, Benita Morua, and Janie Delgado. She also enjoyed a lifelong bond with her surviving sisters-in-law, Leona Gill and Anita Gill.
Rebecca is survived by her sons and spouses, Felix Don Felan (Patricia), and Noel Victor Felan (Judy), and her daughter, Audra Elaine Carter, and Fiance (Seals McCarty).
She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Taylor Felan (Kaitlyn), Sarah Vestal (Michael), and Nolan Carter, and her great-grandchildren, Tripp and Whitt Felan, and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she cherished.
The family would like to thank the considerate nurses at Next Level Hospice for their compassion and care for their mother during her final days. They would also like to thank Avanti Senior Living in Cypress for giving Rebecca immeasurable kindness and loving care for the past seven years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Rebecca Felan's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org
