Rhonda Kay Crain, age 74, passed away on August 28, 2021, in Spring, Texas.  She was born on December 31, 1946, in Roscoe, Texas to James and Elewese Smith Crain.

Rhonda grew up in Andrews, Texas, and graduated from Andrews High School in 1966.  After high school, she attended Weaver Airline School in Kansas City, Missouri.  Shortly after completing her training, Rhonda began work for Braniff Airlines in Communications.  She then went to work for Texas International Airlines, later she went to work for Transco Oil Company working in the aviation department as a secretary and later as a manager.  After leaving there Rhonda worked for Anadarko and completed her employment with her own company, Crain Designs, retiring in 2017.

Rhonda married Von Campbell in 1988 and they enjoyed a long and happy marriage for 33 years.  Rhonda and Von lived in Lometa, Texas on a rural property of 26 acres for over 10 years.  It was a happy, peaceful life in the country and Rhonda loved all the wildlife there.  She had deer, rabbits, wild turkeys and so many birds to watch.  Her love of animals included her pets.  She had many dogs over the years and cats that she loved and pampered.  She counted those as her "children".  They moved to Houston for the last 5 months of their lives to be close to family.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elewese Crain, and brother-in-law, Gaylord W. Anguish.  Rhonda's death was followed within 24 hours by her loving husband, Von.  They were always destined to be together.

Rhonda's family includes her brother, James W. Crain, and wife, Jeani, and their children, Todd W. Crain and Teresa G. Sherrill and their spouses and children; her sister, D Jann Anguish, with Jann's children, Stephanie Anguish, James A. Anguish, Meghan N. Fisher, Kathryn W. Anguish and their spouses and children, and her sister, Starla E. Kramar and husband, John with their children, Lindsee M. Sanchez, Zachary I. Metz, Taylor L. Kramar and Nicholas R. Kramar and their spouses and children.  Rhonda's step-children were Teresa C. Conroe, Brian K. Campbell, Eric V. Campbell, Glenn T. Campbell, and their spouses and children.

Rhonda didn't have her own children but was a blessing to all of her many nieces, nephews, and their families.
