Ricky Lynn Becker, born on February 3, 1951, in the heart of Idaho Falls, Idaho, left this world on May 17, 2025, enveloped in the warmth of love and surrounded by family and friends at his cherished home. It is here where the stories of his life unfolded, as vibrant and complex as the man himself.
For two decades, Rick served his country with unwavering dedication and honor, earning the esteemed title of master gunner and scout within the military. His commitment not only to his nation but also to his family and community was an indelible aspect of his being. Rick’s legacy is woven deeply into the fabric of those who had the privilege to know him.
Married for an awe-inspiring 51 years, Rick's beloved wife, Glenda Becker, stood steadfastly by his side, sharing a life sprinkled with moments of joy, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they nurtured two daughters, Reagan Cassidy, who is blissfully married to Brian Cassidy, and Nicole Becker. The familial bonds stretched further into the next generation; Rick took immense pride in being a grandfather to Christopher Gugliotta, who is joined in union with Jessica Gugilotta. Their love extends even further with the delight of a great-grandson, Colter Lynn Gugliotta—each a testament to the life Rick built and the memories he cherished.
Rick leaves a cherished legacy among his siblings, David Becker and his wife Amy, Shawna Fowler and her husband Dick Fowler, Connie Palmer and her husband Brad Palmer, alongside Debbie Jones and her husband Jeff Jones. Each of them carries forward the love and wisdom Rick imparted throughout his life, forever shaped by his kindness.
Rick's passage from this world creates a poignant space, with the loss deeply felt by those who survive him. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Willis and Nona Becker; his son, Todd Kepus; and his mother-in-law Alyce Smith.
While the world has dimmed with his departure, the luminous spirit of Ricky Lynn Becker will continue to echo in the stories shared, the laughter that fills the rooms, and the love that binds them all together. He will forever be remembered not just for the service to his country, but for the love he showed to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and devotion that will carry on through his cherished family.
