Rita Carol Cohee

Rita Carol Cohee, 73, of Kempner, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Rita was born on January 22, 1948, in Cameron, TX to Ernest and Fay Glaser.  She loved gardening, had a green thumb, and neighbors often called her, "The Flower Lady".  She loved country music, was a great cook, loved baking, and was famous for her pumpkin bread.  Rita had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with others and she enjoyed family get-togethers.  She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Mike Barton, David Barton, and sister, Vanessa Roach.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Bill Cohee; daughters, Lori Salazar and husband, Michael, Tami Scurry, Lisa Barton; brother, Mark Glaser; grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Zachary, Madison, Ashley, Justin, Kayla, and Heather.
