Robert (Bobby) Lee Spicer, 72, of Lampasas, passed away on September 26, 2023, in Killeen, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 4, 1950, in Paris, Arkansas to parents, Dwight Glyn and Alma Jean Spicer.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm.  Graveside services with military honors will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 10 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, followed by a memorial service at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas at 2 pm.

Bobby attended schools in Scranton, Arkansas and Copperas Cove and after high school, proudly served his country in the Army from 1970 to 1972.  Following his military career, Bobby worked for the City of Copperas Cove Water Department.  He then transferred to the Copperas Cove Fire Department and remained there until he left in 1987 to work at the Fort Hood Fire Department.  Bobby retired from the Fort Hood Fire Department in 2007 as the North Fort Hood District Fire Chief.

Bobby and Martha were married on June 29, 1979, in Teague, TX and raised their two children on a small ranch near Lampasas before moving into the city of Lampasas in August 2022.

Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Martha May Spicer; his sons, Clifton Spicer of Temple and Daniel Spicer of Kempner; sisters, Rhonda Jean Iiams (Bill) of Weatherford and Selma Darlene Dossey (Jimmy) of Gatesville as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in Texas and Arkansas.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Glyn Spicer, his nephew, Dustin Iiams and his special aunt, Selma Spicer and cousin, Darla Spicer of Paris, Arkansas.

Bobby had a love for the Lord and was passionate about sharing his love with people he would meet.  He always said that he wanted to make a new friend every day.  He was a storyteller and often spoke of his antics in the fire department, fishing trips with family, hunting with his sons and friends, and knife making.  Bobby was an avid gun collector and outdoorsman.
