Robert "Bob" Smith

Memorial services for Master Sergent Robert H. Smith are schuduled for 10:00a.m., Saturday June 27, 2009 at the Sheppard Chapel of Memories with Rev John White of Bertram, Texas officiating. Born May 29, 1945, in Sarasota to the Union of Roy E. Smith and Alice Leona Hinton Smith. Mr Smith was raised in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Smith spent 20 years in the United States Army, where he retired in 1983 as the Army's senior cryptologic linguistwith the rank of Senior Master Sargent. Since his military retirement, he has worked as a defense contractor; first, with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in Pasadena, California, then, with TELOS Consulting Services, both in California and Fort Hood, where he rose to the level of Senior Vice President. He also worked for ManTech Telecommunications and Information Systems Corp at Fort Hood. Mr. Smith has lived in the community since April 1986.
