Ronald Floyd Crane

Ronald Floyd Crane "Ron", 71, of Lampasas, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Services will be held at Lampasas Community Church on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11 am with visitation an hour prior.

Ron was born and raised in Freeport, TX.  He was a standout basketball player and even was invited to try out for the Houston Rockets.  For most of his career Ron worked for Regis University in Denver, CO and was the facility coordinator of the sporting events until his retirement.  Ron was a faithful member of Lampasas Community Church and was involved as parking coordinator and worked on the security team.  He enjoyed being involved and serving alongside his church family.  He was also known for his hobby of making walking sticks and could create one with any limb or piece of wood laying around.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillie Crane and his brother, Stanley Crane.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Crane; his children, Rhonda Crane, Tereka Crane, Ronald Crane, Jr., Roderic Crane, Robert Rich, and Stephanie Crane as well as his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
