Ronnie D. Hampton

November 15, 1957 — November 30, 2021

Ronnie D. Hampton departed to be face to face with the Lord on November 30, 2021.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Sneed Funeral Chapel.  Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Hines Chapel Cemetery in Adamsville. 

Ronnie was born November 15, 1957, in Wichita Falls, TX, and then resided in Peabody, TX until his early 20's.  He was raised on the Hampton family ranch where he learned the value of hard work and a love for animals.  Ronnie graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Education.

Ronnie met the love of his life, Penne, while attending school in Evant, TX.  They were later engaged and then got married on December 27, 1980.  Married for almost 41 years, their life together was a true testament to their love and devotion for one another.

Ronnie, also known as "Pap" loved spending time with his three grandkids, Samuel, Silas, and Charlotte, and family.  Time spent with his family was well spent.

Ronnie was a hard worker and enjoyed staying busy working outside on various projects as well as gardening.  Ronnie enjoyed helping his clients with their taxes and bookkeeping for 30 years.  He always took pride in his work and in helping people.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Barbara Hampton, and father-in-law, Robert McIlroy, Jr.

He is survived by his only love, Penne; their sons, Joseph and Benjamin; daughter-in-law, Katie; grandchildren, Samuel, Silas, Charlotte; mother-in-law, Carolyn McIlroy, and his brother, Rusty.
