Ruth Sanchez

Ruth Ann Sanchez, 79 of Kempner, passed away on the morning of June 27, 2023, surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00, Friday, July 7, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church of Copperas Cove. Ruth will be interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX at a later date.

Ruth was born on January 9, 1944, in Indio, California to Armand and Grace Nava. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Lupe Castro, who came into her life after her father passed away in World War ll.

Ruth was always a self-driven person. Ruth put herself through college while being a military wife, working and raising her family. She enjoyed a long successful career in civil service and was named Civilian of the Year, twice. After retiring, she then began her volunteer placement with the CASA Organization and was named CASA Person of the Year, twice. Ruth had a beautiful heart, volunteering in her church and always helping those in need.

Ruth is survived by her children Grace Beaty, Ernest Sanchez Jr. (Net), and step children Brooke Sanchez and David Torres with many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
