Shi Mei Yothers

Shi Mei Yothers, age 85 of Copperas Cove, passed away on the afternoon of October 27, 2023 with her husband by her side. Shi Mei will be laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery during a private family ceremony.

Shi Mei was born on May 28, 1938, in Taiwan, where she grew up in and attended school. She married David Yothers, on February 3, 1968, in Taiwan while he was stationed there in the Army. They moved to the United States on Christmas day, 1977. Shi Mei worked for the AAFES Corporation for over 40 years while she followed David around to his different duty stations. She retired in 2005 so she could focus more on her main hobby, flowers. Shi Mei loved to garden and grow flowers. She spent countless hours tending her garden and making sure all the weeds were gone and the flowers as vibrant as they could be.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister.

Shi Mei is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Yothers.
