Suzanne was born to Walter and Viva Zimmerman on October 13, 1946, in El Campo, Texas. She later moved to Lampasas--her mother's hometown--in 1995, where she lived until her passing on April 19, 2026.
She attended business school in Austin and went on to build a long and dedicated career. Suzanne was employed by Weaver Oil and Gas, Tennaco, and later retired from Coastal Corporation in Houston.
A woman of faith and service, Suzanne was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and participated in the Presbyterian Women's Group. She was also a proud member of the '36 Club, cherishing the friendships and fellowship it brought.
Suzanne leaves behind a loving family, including her stepchildren, Kathy Clark and Kevin Tooley; cousins, Wayne and Janice Hammond and their daughter Abigail; and grandchildren, Stuart, Claire, and Matthew Clark, and Ben and Jake Whittington. She also leaves behind her special friends Sheila Brooks and Dawn Varnado, whose friendship brought comfort and joy, as well as many cousins who held her dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Viva and Walter Zimmerman, and her stepdaughter, Susan Taylor.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers who provided compassionate support, as well as to New Century Hospice for their dedicated care.
Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Lampasas on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10 am. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
