Tamson "Tammy" Marie Shaffer

Tamson "Tammy" Marie Shaffer passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 71.

Tammy was born on October 5, 1954, to Dwight Kline Jr. and Barbara Kline in Martinsville, Indiana.  She built a life centered around the people she loved most - her family.

Tammy married her husband, Robert Shaffer, on November 1, 2002.  Together they shared more than 23 years of marriage and a family that grew to include eight children, 21 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

For many years, Tammy worked hanging wallpaper, a career she continued until 2002.  With the arrival of her first grandchild, Tammy began a new chapter of her life, dedicating much of her time to helping care for her grandchildren and being present for her growing family.

Of all the things Tammy enjoyed in life, spending time with her family was what meant the most to her.  She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Being a grandmother and great-grandmother brought her tremendous joy, and everyone who knew her could see the love she had for them.

Tammy leaves behind her husband, Robert; four daughters and four sons; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and loved ones who will carry her memory with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Amanda; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Shaffer; and her grandparents.

Tammy's greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply.  Her life lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and through the countless memories they shared together.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.  

Services will be private for family and friends.
