Virginia Oakley

Virginia Oakley, 92, passed away peacefully at home.  She was a devoted teacher who spent many years teaching physical education and 4th grade, impacting countless students with her encouragement and care.

Virginia's life was marked by extraordinary kindness and generosity.  What began as a simple interaction with a young neighbor while she worked in her yard grew into a lifelong friendship between two families.  When hardship came, she opened her home, helping raise the children and turning that friendship into family.

Affectionately known as Ginger, Nunur, Mamaw, and Ms. Oakley, she was deeply loved.  In her later years, she cherished time spent watching her grandsons grow.

Her faith was central to her life.  She spent much of her time studying her Bible and faithfully praying over the needs of others, often asking how she could pray for them.

While she will be deeply missed, her family finds peace knowing she is in Heaven with her Savior.
