Wanda Darlene Forbes, 75, of Lampasas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Memorial services for Wanda will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 10 am with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Wanda was born in Lampasas, TX on June 11, 1947, to Edward and Ira Ola Goss Lewis. She grew up in Lampasas and attended Lampasas schools graduating from Lampasas High School. Wanda was a member of the Church of Christ since age 12. Wanda has lived in Lampasas most of her life except for a short stint in Alaska from 1972-1975 while her husband was stationed there in the military. Wanda enjoyed water skiing, camping, arts and crafts, volleyball, and being involved with the Boy Scouts through the First Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Donald Boivin and Leroy Forbes, Sr., and brother, Weldon Lewis.
Survivors include her children, Ronnie Boivin (Susan), Rhonda Boivin Arapis (Blake), Randy Boivin; step-children, Leroy L. Forbes, Jr., Eric Forbes, Michael Forbes, David Forbes, Jeremy Forbes; grandchildren, Britt Boivin, Dylan Boivin, Ashely Clark, Anthony Reyna, Aaron Reyna, Kelsey Boivin; step-granddaughter, Nicole Arapis; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Waymon E. Lewis, Sr., Wendell E. Lewis, Sr.; sisters, Wynona D. Lewis-Mathews, and Wylinda D. Lewis-Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Wanda's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Lampasas Animal Shelter.
