Wayne Lynn Davis, 75, passed away on March 22, 2026, at his home in Briggs, Texas. He was born on September 27, 1950, in Lampasas, Texas, to Lawrence and Juanita Abbott Davis.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11 am at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Briggs, Texas.
Wayne grew up in Briggs, Texas. He graduated from Lampasas High School in Lampasas, Texas, in 1969. After high school, he attended Navarro College in Corsicana and then attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he played football and studied science. Wayne owned Temple Chemical Co., Inc., as a businessman, where he worked for over 30 years. He served in the Elks Lodge as a member and Exalted Ruler and the ZS Teague Masonic Lodge #568 as a member and a Past Worshipful Master.
Wayne married his best friend and soulmate, Judy, in 1974, in Little River Academy, Texas. They were happily married for 51 years, had two children, and lived in Moody, TX. He was an avid supporter of his children's educational and athletic activities. His friendships were very meaningful, and many were lifelong. Wayne was a member of Lampasas Community Church. He enjoyed his large family, hunting, fishing, golfing, football, basketball, and horses.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Juanita Davis, and his son, Jeffrey Davis.
Survivors include his spouse Judy of Briggs, Texas; his daughter, Cari Davis and her partner Tricia of Dallas, Texas; his sister, Vicki and (Vaughn) Smith of Dripping Springs, TX, and sister, Roberta and (Gary) Eacott of Briggs, TX; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and his pup Gracie and two grand pups, Moses and Hailey.
