William "Frosty" Kemp

William "Frosty" Kemp, 72, passed away on July 23, 2026.  He was born on February 17, 1954, in Inglewood, CA.  Frosty lived his life exactly the way he wanted; with grit, determination, and a personality that could never be mistaken for anyone else's.

If you knew William, you probably knew him as "Frosty."  That's just about what everybody called him.  With his long hair, weathered face, and unmistakable appearance, people often joked that he looked like Willie Nelson.  He wore that rugged look well, and it fit the man he was.

Frosty had the personality of a banty rooster.  He was stubborn, proud, outspoken, and never one to back down from an argument.  He wasn't interested in changing himself to make anyone else comfortable.  He was the kind of man you either loved or hated, but if you loved him, you knew there was no one else quite like him. 

Beneath that rough, hard-headed exterior was a fiercely loyal heart.  When it came to the people he loved, especially his family, he showed up.  He tried to help in whatever way he could, even if his advice wasn't sugar-coated.  That was simply Frosty.  His love wasn't always spoken softly, but it was steady, dependable, and real.

As his daughter, I was fortunate enough to know the man behind the gruff exterior.  I knew the father who was always there when needed, who did his best to help in the only way he knew how.  For all of his stubbornness and flaws, he gave me something priceless: the comfort of knowing I could count on him.

Frosty is survived by his daughter, Ashleigh; his son-in-law, James, and their two children; his son, Austin and his two children; his son, Lucas; daughter-in-law, Devanie, and their three children; his son, Willie; his daughter-in-law, Leannette, and their two children; his sons, Joshua and Alexander, along with their children.  He is also survived by his cousins, Sharlene and Kiersten, and his brother, Frank.

Dad, thank you for always being there and for teaching me to be strong.  Thank you for being exactly who you were.  I wouldn't trade a single moment with you.

Frosty's story doesn't end with his passing.  It lives on in the people who loved him, the stories they'll continue to tell, the laughter they'll share remembering his stubborn streak, and the memories of a man who was unforgettable in every sense of the word.

Rest easy, Frosty.  You earned your peace.
