Yvonne Louise (Vidrine) Cook

Yvonne Louise (Vidrine) Cook, age 67, passed away on January 12, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.  She was born on February 7, 1958, in Palo Alto, California, to Ambrose and Sara (Graham) Vidrine.

A Rosary will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 701 N. Key Ave., Lampasas, Texas, on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will follow at the same location on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Yvonne was raised in San Jose, California, and graduated from Lynbrook High School in 1976.  She later attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California, where she earned an associate degree.  Throughout her life, Yvonne devoted herself to serving others.  She worked in banking, served as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional, and generously volunteered in her children's classrooms and with the Girl Scouts.  She later worked for the Girl Scout Council of Napa Solano.  In her later years, her greatest joy came from being a full-time grandmother.

Yvonne married Gerald Cook in 1983 in San Jose, California.  They shared 26 happy years of marriage.  She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Girl Scouts.  Yvonne found joy in traveling, diamond art, volunteering, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Cook.

She is survived by her parents, Ambrose and Sara Vidrine of Modesto, California; her children, Thomas (Merissa) Cook of Kempner, Texas, Sara Cook of Kempner, Texas, and Joseph (Rachel) Cook of Fairfield, California; her siblings, James (Tammy) Vidrine of St. Pauls, North Carolina, and Jennifer (John) Schlupp of Brentwood, California; and her grandchildren, Teagan, Clayton, Carmen, Rush, Charlotte, Riley, and Emilia.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to an organization of your choice in Yvonne's memory.
