Lila V. Goodson

Lila V. Goodson, 86 of Lampasas, Texas died Monday June 22, 2020 at Bertram Nursing Home. She was born September 1, 1933 at Nix, Texas to parents Clayton Hall and Jewel Ann (Melton) Hall. She had lived in Washington D.C. as a young woman and worked for a United States Senator. She later lived in Japan. Upon returning to the U.S. she began working at Fort Hood and met Jerry Goodson, whom she later married. Lila was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by 2 Sisters; Wanda Monroe of Lampasas Judy Armstrong of Austin Grandson, Collin Cooper and several nieces and nephews. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, by brothers, Andy Hall and Bill (Doc) Melton and by her husband Jerry Goodson and daughter Sarah Goodson Cooper. Graveside funeral service was Friday June 26, 2020 at Groves Cemetery.
